Impressive gates gothic style that is the start of the pedestrianised street that take you to Marienplatz. Arched opening to walk along the shops. Great photo opportunity and lots of prior taking pictures.
I like this part of the city. The gate is a great start to the best part of town. Lots of shops and bars nearby. Nice
Visited the christmas market and walked through Karls Gate on our way to the Hofbrauhaus. It is worth stopping and looking up to take in the LEGO-esque beaty of these gates.
Coming form the Munich Main RR Station (Hafbhanhof) Karls Gate is one the first things you will to know your are going in the correct direction to see Marienplatz. it is an eye catcher and worth photographing. As gates go, it is attractive and historical in nature. Other than being there as a landmark and photo op it is the gate way to more attractive and interesting sights
one of gate in old city but look like not so raw & not so old enough. maybe sharp color or rebuilt etc... i don't know but everyone will cross it if walk along of street of Marienplatz.
