Nice rooms (Gaststube) and a great and large Biergarten. The service is good and quick (several waiters speak English), generous portions, good and tasty quality, great value altogether. The price range can be considered medium or even cheaper. Regional and international dishes. I am rating the restaurant only, I don´t know anything about the hotel!

My husband and I booked a last minute weekend in Garmisch and we were so pleasantly surprised by the wonderful accommodations that is the Drei Mohren. While we are normally very selective when staying in Garmisch-Partenkirchen because why would we go and not stay in a place with amazing views? But, when we learned that our usual place was booked, we "settled" for the Drei Mohren based on it's proximity to where we were spending time in the evenings and were incredibly pleased. We upgraded our room for a small increase and the views upon entering the room were incredible. Room 203 had a lovely balcony overlooking the little square and views of the mountains and the famous Olympic qualifying ski jump. From the Drei Mohren, you can easily walk to town, grocery stores, apotkhe, restaurants and the fun Irish Pub around the corner. While decor at the Drei Mohren may be slightly dated, the price included a standard breakfast and parking.

Room Tip: We enjoyed room 203 with a newly renovated bathroom and a beautiful sunny balcony with incredible views!

This review is for the restaurant.

We stumbled into Gasthof Drei Mohren after having checked out a couple of other restaurants on the same street. Our criteria was a restaurant that would feel comfortable with a 14 month old infant who could be loud at times. The staff at Drei were friendly and welcoming. The restaurant has a very fairy tale feel to it, lots of colour and wood. I guess this is something that is common to all the restaurants at Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

Our order: Goulash, Fried Trout, Chicken Schnitzel . The fried trout was served with spinach mix and the Chicken with a cream sauce and potato wedges. The goulash had a lovely taste with distinct taste of spices. The main course were equally well done and overall we were very satisfied with the lunch. The price for the meal seemed reasonable considering that Garmisch-Partenkirchen is a tourist hotspot, and prices tend to be on the higher side.

Gasthof Drei was a memorable experience and I would definitely recommend this restaurant to families looking for a quite and delicious fare served by friendly staff.

The hotelroom (1p) was clean and the bathroom was fine. The bed was a little bit to small for me. The room had a nice balcony. The hotelcrew was friendly and the food in the restaurant was very good! Special thanks to the chef Robert who prepared an amazing rumpsteak!

This hotel was wonderful with an incredible view from the balcony of the snow capped mountains. The hotel and restaurant staff were extremely welcoming and produced excellent service. The hotel is not far from the slopes and there's a great/cheap ski rental location not far either. The hotel provided a delicious Christmas Eve and Christmas Day meal. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone!!
