I traveled to Heidelberg with my wife for a month and we stay here from 28/12/15 till 29/01/16. Everything was perfect. The quiet neighborhood, the fully equipped kitchen, the room and the bed, the wifi connection (was working remotely to Chile), the furniture, the bathroom and shower, etc.
Philippa and her family live upstairs and we only shared an entrance front door (that is the only common area, the rest is all private for the guest).
Once I did the reservation Philippa send me an email with a doc with all the instructions to reach the house from the central train station, so it was easy to find the place.
Another thing is that excelent restaurants and bakerys are near. There is a mini market near too.
Philippa is an excelent hostess and speaks english perfect. She is there to help you and assist you with any question or doubt about the town and the public transportation.
My wife and I had an excelent stay!.

My wife and I plus my two children stayed here over the Christmas period and had a delightful stay.
Philippa and her family live upstairs and we shared an entrance front door but had a perfectly private 2 rooms plus kitchen bathroom and toilet area downstairs.
It's about 5 minutes in a tram from the centre of town and a short walk from there to the apartment.
It was clean and homely and philippa was a delightful person able to advise you on all things local.
Shops are nearby but it's good to note the hours are different to say Sydney Australia. Locally, some close at 5 on a Saturday and all day Sunday.
A lovely new gas stove had just been installed when we arrived which we used to cook most of our meals while there for 8 nights.
Towels are supplied so all you need is your luggage and a box of groceries and you are set up.
We enjoyed our stay immensely and can recommend to fellow travellers.
+ The accommodation is the complete ground floor of a house, with a shared front door and hallway. Good value for sociable people, who will appreciate the friendly (though not noisy or intrusive) household. The neighbourhood is quaint and safe. A short trip from the Altstadt by public transport (about 5 tram stops), or 30 minutes on foot. The nearby restaurants are good, and not overpriced or touristy. Good washing machine, dishwasher and fridge-freezer. Mattresses are new, foam rather than inner-sprung. Fast, free wifi. Close to extensive forest walks. Shops include an organic grocer and a Lidl supermarket. The landlady has an interesting life-story, and speaks fluent English.
- The accommodation is not for people who want complete seclusion or who require a pristine modern decor.
