Right in middle of town and was 180euro for 4nights. Walked everywhere from there. Location. Location. Location! Staff great too, 24hr reception. If you're going for the rugby, use this place! Hotel only 10min stroll from the ground... Ps. Loved the beach bars in Toulon. Take the number3 or 23 to Mouilard. Loads of chilled out bars, great views, only 5min rom town. Do it!

Stayed: September 2013

Stayed for three nights as part of a 'boys trip' to watch Toulon play rugby. Arrived at Toulon using train and hotel is just about 5 mins walk away. Hotel has some character but has seen better days. However prices fairly reflect this and the one thing it really has going for it is a fantastic location. Toulon is easy to walk around and from that perspective it is ideal. Opposite the Opera House which has a great square behind it. About 10 mins walk from port and great street market and about 15 mins walk from Rugby Stadium. Staff were very friendly. Suggest don't take breakfast as better can be found in restaurants in square behind Opera House for same price. All in all good basic hotel at reasonable price in perfect location but don't expect any luxuries.

Only hotel available on weekend of rugby quarter final. Pros - friendly, clean, comfortable bed. Cons - small, especially bathroom, shower not very hot if you don't get up early but still OK, noisy if window opened, location good for all facilities but drawback on busy main road.

Room Tip: ask for room with window not on main road

This two star hotel is in the middle of the town just across the street from Toulon Opera.
It´s a short walk from the Cour de Lafayette market, one of the largest on Cote d´Azur. Booking.com reservation site promises you a breakfast on the room prize but there is no breakfast at the moment.
The rooms are smallish, the bed is average but when we stayed there the pillowcases were dirty
and burned with cigarettes.
The service was kind and helpful.
If you are looking for a cheap hotel in the city centre, this is it!

It feels unfair to criticise this hotel. It was well-placed for the harbour from which Corsica Ferries sail, it was clean, the booking procedure was smooth, and considering its location and the fact that it was only a 1-night stopover, the price was very good.
It was comfortable and soundproofed.
The minuses: no parking, and Toulon is a bit of a frantic place traffic-wise, no restaurant. The room we were given both coming and going had a poor bathroom, clean but in poor repair as many people had levered themselves upwards from the loo by leaning on the basin as space was so limited. It took forever for lukewarm water to reach it and the tap was loose, again I imagine because many people twisted it back and forth. The shower head fell from the wall attachment.
We complained about the hot water and got a shrug and were told to wait for it!

Room Tip: Lower than 5th floor if you want hot water!
