Review of The Dinorben Arms

The Dinorben Arms
Ranked #1 of 2 Restaurants in Bodfari
Price range: US$12 - US$33
Description: The Dinorben Arms is the latest pub to join the B&P family. She sits in the heart of the small village of Bodfari, nestled in the shadows of St Stephen's church. The building is steeped in history and loved by many who remember her of old; 1970's dinner dates in the beamed snug at the front of the building which greets you as you enter via the front doors or childhood memories of peering into the old well which now sits in front of our bar. A tall tower has been added to the rear of the building with a spacious terrace, to take in the glorious views across the stunning hills beyond. We hope you will find her a seamless mix between old and new.

Lovely setting in the Vale of Clwyd, warm welcome on arrival, pleasantly furnished with plenty of room between the tables, nicely balanced and varied menu, friendly and efficient staff and the food was really good too, in fact excellent. We met up with an old friend, a retired chef, who was highly complimentary. Seasonal Beetroot starter was an imaginative use of basic ingredients, the Lamb Rump was cooked perfectly as was the Trout Fillet and Herb Marinated Chicken. Portions generous and presentation superb. Top, top class. Will definitely be back and soon !

Holiday couple needing a decent meal and found more than that at Dinorben Arms. We visited on a Saturday evening in April , the whole place which is huge was bursting with folk , but had reserved a table for two 9am the same day. We arrived amid the hustle and bustle to find our table had been taken by someone else, but not to worry we were soon sitting in an amazing spot overlooking the spectacular views. Despite the crowds the service was second to none. The food excellent, coupled with a great atmosphere. The whole place was beautiful and pristine, fresh cut flowers even in the spotlessly clean toilets . Wow. Loved the whole experience. Price excellent value.Well Done Dinorben and thank you

Lovely location, service was excellent. Ordered 2 Chicken in the Baskets - chicken was dry and felt as if it had been cooked the previous day and re dipped into hot oil!! Sadly this is the second time we've had this dry chicken. Get this simple dish right Dinorben!

We’ve been twice recently, one for Sunday lunch when passing & on Saturday for a family special occasion in the private dining room, food delicious both visits & staff friendly and welcoming. Everything as you’d expect from a Brunning & Price and a nice change from out local, the Pant yr Ochain. Nicely re done with great views and lots of outside seating.

Thank Julie M
