This was our last night in Mougins, a Sunday. We had been trying to get a table since Thursday and were pretty excited as we walked past this restaurant every evening and this was the only day we could get a table, book before you leave home. Without going into the food and the service we recieved as there's no need it was all fabulous and not overly expensive. Ask for a table out on the balcony the views are lovely and romantic. A hint tryand get a table for 7-7.30 before it gets busy you are more likely to have your pick of a table. Do yourselves a favour, go and book this restaurant it's superb

There was no requirement for a reservation on a Friday evening. Opening at 7pm, I booked a table for 8pm, which gave an opportunity to saunter around this delightful village. A set 7 course menu for €55 with timely service and decent wine, was well worth it. The place fills quite quickly, but attentive staff and the ambience made the occasion. Staying at Hotel de Mougins is €6 in an Uber, given its proximity, I would make this a suggestion.

Visited the place on a Thursday evening end of August. The setting is amazing, on the border of the old village of Mougins with two beautiful terrace and stunning views towards Grasse and the back country. Unfortunately when we came, we were allocated probably the worst table in the place, at the very end of the first terrace behind a big and beautiful tree, hence with no view at all but the trunk of this tree. I asked to change table and after some discussion, we were given another table for two on the second row of this same terrace, not the best, but quite ok... So first advise, ask for a table on the upper terrace which offers better setting and better view ! Then about food, we took the “Roger Vergé” tribute menu. I think poor Roger should be a bit depressed if he overlooks this from where he stands ! For 55 euros nothing impressive in this menu, starters where dull, raviole with lobster too salty, and dessert were very disappointing !I can only comment positively the main course, a rack of lamb which was quite delicious and well cooked. As for service, it is definitely not up to the level of the bill ! At the end, with average wine it’s a 185 euros invoice for two. I am sure you may find much better value for money in the vicinity !!!!

Having read good reviews I thought this was a good restaurant .The four of us were terribly disappointed.
The food was plain and the service was terrible. None of us could understand the reputation of this place maybe the setting being nice people are not too interested by the food

Thank max H
