Upon arriving we were greeted by warm and friendly staff. The rooms are quirky but very well appointed, and the designer elements work in perfect harmony with the ancient surroundings.

Delightful breakfast, knowledgeable staff who helped make our stay perfect.

Dear Simon,
Thank you very much for such a nice comment!
We are really glad to read that you liked the atmosphere of our hotel which is a very old building featuring an interior design combining sobriety and warm colours, the signature of the designer and architect India Mahdavi.
All our staff took pleasure in greeting you and is grateful for your review.
We hope to welcome you again soon,
Regards,
The Hôtel du Cloître team.

Excellent stay over the Christmas holiday. The room and bathroom were spacious and comfortable. The room was surprisingly quiet even with a bar right outside the steps. The hotel is centrally located with parking nearby. The hosts were really friendly and helpful.

We stayed at hotel du cloître in Arles approximately every two weeks over a year long period while we were renovating our holiday home in town. This hotel is a gem in Arles. The staff is beyond friendly and accommodating. The spaces are modern, beautifully redesigned by India Mahdavi, but in keeping all of the charm of the antique Arles. The restaurant downstairs, L'ouvre boite is one of the best in town. It sources its ingredients from its peer Chassagnette, a Michelin starred restaurant outside of town with it's own organic farm.
We have stayed in just about every room in the hotel. They're all great, but we would recommend those in the left wing (which has more old world charm), and especially the ground floor suite with wraparound windows.

The hotel is in the old city, but very close to the entrance from the main road, so good access. It is two blocks away from the Cloisters and St Trophime church and walking distance from everywhere else really. Decor is colorful but with good taste, room and bathroom really beautiful. It has a good relaxing room downstairs, with a terrace not really overlooking anything but still nice to use. It's not sophisticated, but friendly and just very nice to be in. The only detail if you are coming by car, is to let them know in advance so they can reserve space for you. We didn't and we had to use public parking (which was not far away anyway). All in all, a very nice stay.

Room Tip: Posibly looking into the interior would be more quiet, but even looking to the street was quiet enough

Quaint little hotel in great location, especially for walking the city. Spacious room, clean, modern decor, comfortable bed. Friendly, helpful staff. No elevator, no a/c. Parking and driving in the city was frustrating and stressful.
