It is what it is...A lovely, very old farmhouse where the rooms needs some serious renovation and a really good clean. It seemed to have a musty feel, especially in the wardrobes, carpets and curtains. Cupboard doors didn’t close properly, shower leaked onto floor and pillows/linen could be freshened up. The pool was great however the gym was poor with no free weights and dated equipment.
Reception staff were fabulous however cleaning staff need deodorant!
The location was great if you have a car. Otherwise it is a 45 euro taxi to TGV and almost 20 euro taxi to town centre.
Honestly wasn’t impressed with Aix as there is lots of construction in main areas and on Sunday many places are closed. The Bistrot des Philosphies was outstanding for dinner.

I attended the welcome dinner hosted by law school of Aix-Marseille university The restaurant is in the garden, beautiful typical garden. There are welcome drinks; champagne and red wines with delicious savory dishes

The food was great. The chef provided sea bass with white wine for me. It was a joyful moment and great to remember.

An oasis of culture, comfort, peace and pleasure on the edge of Aix. What a wonderful hotel.
We had been travelling for some time in France in our Campervan, and decided to treat ourselves to a night of air-con and luxury. Hotels.com was offering a good deal, previous reviews were encouraging, so we went for it!
No regrets! A beautiful spacious room, full of charm, original features and useful equipment (e.g. hair-drier, kettle, fridge, etc). We found the meal plans expensive and not conducive to vegetarianism, so we went into town for a meal. The concierge helpfully pointed out that the no. 13 bus goes from just outside the hotel into town in 5 mins. We git a taxi back.
The breakfast the following morning was superb. Quite simple, not a huge choice, but really good quality - e.g. -home-made jams, fresh fruit salad, just-cooked breads.
We kept thinking who we would like to go back to the hotel with next time. Which of our friends or family would we take with us?

We spent one night at Entremont while visiting Chateau LaCoste. A really nice stay - lovely old provencal farmhouse with great character and really nice staff. We also had a really very good dinner - great service and really excellent food. We had the tasting menu, and found sophisiticated French cuisine, great flavours, perfectly prepared and presented. A really nice stop over.

Room Tip: The hotel has a couple of dual rooms, with kids rooms upstairs from the main suite. Very practical for families.

We stayed in a fabulous and huge junior suite on the ground floor with a private terrace with table, chairs and sun beds. The bedroom was very large but still cosy with a good TV (BBC 1 & 2) and plenty of storage in the attached dressing room. Biggest bathroom we've ever stayed in, immaculate, tasteful, large tub and separate walk in shower. Generous L,Occitane products.

Grounds are gorgeous although we didn't use the pool area as we had our own terrace. Handy and well equipped gym. Tennis court in reasonable condition.

Extremely convenient location for Aix and surrounding areas. Reception gave us good itinerary for 2/3 days. Chateaux La Coste is a must see for the walking tour of modern art in the expansive grounds and delightful lunch in cafe to follow.

We didn't do breakfast as a bit steep at 20 euro per head but coffee was good to start the day. A real class act at affordable prices.
