We had booked two nights at Maison de Lucie after reading all the wonderful reviews on TA. Needless to say, it exceeded our expectations. We stayed in Room #8 which was a bit small but more than sufficient to sleep and bathe as we did not spend our time in Honfleur sitting in our room. The room has French Doors which open up to a lovely small courtyard and to a private seating area we would have used had the weather been suitable. Comfortable bed, flat screen TV, modern bathroom with nice amenities. For me, the only thing missing were washcloths. Room #8 also has easy access to a side entrance with a code for the number pad to enter they give you when we check in. Have to agree with all others who tell you breakfast is a must. It's not just breakfast, it's an elegant experience sitting in one of their cozy table vignettes listening to soothing classical music. The Petite Dejeuner was one of the best experiences we've ever had. Breakfast consisted of a basket fillled with assorted bread, baguette and croissants served with butter and four different delicious homemade jams and a generous glass of fresh squeezed orange or grapefruit juice. The "chefs surprise" each day were fabulous. One morning it was a small pot of chocolate mousse and the next a baked apple recipe with a buttery crumb topping---both were exceptional. The generous coffee cup of Cafe Creme was outstanding. A special "merci beaucoup" to Bernadette. She was warm, friendly, and a sweetheart to us....always had a smile on her face. Maison de Lucie is beautifully decorated from the moment you enter the warm and inviting main courtyard through the front door, into the library where we sat by the relaxing fireplace, and other common areas. Beautiful music, fresh flowers and plants filled every room. The ambiance here is incredible, eclectic decor tastefully put together. If ever in Honfleur again, we wouldn't stay anywhere else.

We spent two nights in The Pavillion at Maison de Lucie and wish we could stay forever. The hosts were so welcoming, unpretentious, funny and helpful.

The Pavillion is tastefully decorated and very romantic. The courtyard is even better than the photographs and the breakfast a must. Great coffee!

We can't rate it highly enough and will definitely be back.

One tip - If you have a car, you will definitely need to use their private parking as the on street parking is limited.

We have been coming back to La Maison de Lucie for nearly 8 years, it never failed to impress us.
The beautiful decor both in the front courtyard and the interior, great service and delightful breakfast.
The strong rainshower is so refreshing but splashed beyond the partition making the floor rather wet. I guess some improvement could be made here.
Nice to see the lady owner, Muriel, being hands on looking after the guests.
We look forward to returning !

Relaxing, comfortable, wonderful friendly staff. Not cheap but value for money. Only slight quibble would be for larger bath towels!!
We've stayed here 4 or 5 times now and the high standard is maintained every time.
Our favourite hotel anywhere.
Hadje and Francois (and not forgetting Florence in the evening) are amazing.

Room Tip: Room 12 has good views over estuary. You need to book early for one of the hotel car park places

A nice hotel near the city centre. Extremely helpful staff. Beautiful decorated and it has a lovely outdoor garden/patio. Our room (3) was stylish but could be a little more spacious so that there was room for a wardrobe. Bathroom is wonderful! I definitely recommend this hotel to any one staying in Honfleur.
