we stayed as a jump off point to Beaches of Normandy, and this was a great hotel. We had an inside room which was great because we opened the window to let cooler air and did not have to deal with street noise, the room is European standard but very comfortable bed and clean. and parking was right across street about 7 to 11 euros a day

Room tip: about 1hr and 30min to Mount St Michal, and 1 hour from beaches, t

Very well located with balconies overlooking a grassy park and cafes and restaurants nearby. The room was newly renovated with good facilities. Staff great; even offering to post a lost treasured teddy on to the UK. Highly recommended and would stay again

Spotlessly clean hotel. The owners are friendly, helpful and speak English. The location is perfect and we found the busy street outside was very quiet after 11.00pm.Shops and restaurants are on the doorstep.
Breakfast is super - juices, cereals, toast, pastries, cheese, ham, boiled eggs and tea and coffee - all self service and beautifully laid out.We normally go out for breakfast but coffee in Caen is expensive for a small, watery, cafe au lait costing some 3 to 3.5 euros. The hotels breakfast is 11 euros and you can have as many pots of tea or coffee as you like from a great coffee machine.Well worth it.
We had a comfort room - huge mega comfortable bed, decent size room with juliette balcony.Bath with shower above.Plenty of clean towels daily and housekeeping superb. Can't fault this super little hotel and wouldn't hesitate to stay again if visiting Caen.

It's affordable and overlooks a town square. The people are very friendly and speak English. Parking is just across the street so you might drop it off then park. There's a wonderful restaurant next door that is just the best, gave me flowers too. Loved it!

All in all, a decent stay in a small but clean room. Parking is a little difficult; having to use a somewhat intimidating underground car park (VERY tight spaces and it seems to be a stop over for people who have over-indulged to sleep things off), The rooms have unnecessarily complex magnetic locks and. despite having their operation explained to us, we still had to call on the reception staff to let us onto our room. I daresay it's not the first time she had been asked, but she still made us feel a little stupid for asking. Anyway, the room was clean and tidy, but the bathroom was very small with a badly hung sliding door, so it's difficult to get any privacy or even feel separate from the bedroom. The air con will not go below 20 degrees, so is of little use, and someone before obviously didn't like the non-smoking room judging by the butts outside the window. Great location though, and pleasant enough.
