Really great collection of royal horse drawn carriages that is accessible to see on your visit to Versailles and is a free entrance. Tour groups tend to skip past this.

Walk across the bus park in front of Versailles Palace to the old stable building - amazing display of beautiful horse drawn carriages, very ornate and some weighing more than 2 tons. It's all free!

This was excellent. Lots of coaches to see and entry was free, Cannot fault it. We would have had to pay in London

These carriages are amazing, set outside the main palace this attraction is well worth a visit. There is no cost to visit as it is included in your ticket to the Palace, the history behind these carriages is amazing and the fact they have survived to this day is extraordinary. There is a video show which runs explaining the events in which these carriages were used. A must place to visit.

Really pleased we went here, the carriages and sledges - yes sledges - were well displayed, even the horses looked real! And it's free to enter,
