After a slight mishap of travelling the Holiday Inn Montparnasse Pasteur by (Google-maps) accident, we arrived safely.

The staff were friendly and efficient, and checked us in immediately. A slightly mistake with the room booking resulted in no sofa-bed in our allocated room. This was quickly remedied, with an upgrade and room move.

Hotel is perfectly located for a gentle walk into town, or a quick Metro journey from one of the nearby stations. The immediate local area has many restaurants and attractions, including some slightly more adult ones (prompting some questions from a niave 11yr old daughter). Loved the street full of Creperies, and another of Estate Agents!

Room was warm, and the beds were comfortable. TV channels were obviously mainly in French, with only a couple of English speaking (news) ones. Separate toilet and bathrooms were clean and functional. The sofa bed in our particular room was a single size, but perfectly fine for an 11 year old.

Room Tip: Choose rooms at the rear, for a quiet view of the cemetery.

Reception shares same area with restaurant so fairly small and boutique like. Very friendly and professional staff and well located beside many good restaurants and bars.

The rooms are quaint and beds comfortable. Water heats quickly and shower powerful and clean. Large and airy bathroom/toilet.

Heated towel rail burnt me. It's at shoulder height right beside the toilet - so to avoid getting burnt you need to sit sideways. I got burnt and should sue. Let's see. The design and operations people incharge should remove this idiotic contraption before someone burns a hole in their face.

Whilst lying down after my breakfast the cleaning lady just walked into the room. No knock - no announcement - just straight into the room. I called reception to complain but they were perplexed that I hadn't put the "do not disturb" sign up. They failed to understand the importance of not intruding without at least knocking!! Is this a French thing?

Breakfast was OK - despite having to wait 30 minutes after opening time to get bacon. Coffee, from a machine, was warm - not hot. Good scrambled eggs and good choice of cold meats and breads. €150 per night.

I am very happy to read that our staff made you feel welcome and thank you for the compliment regarding all of them.

On the other hand, I sincerely apologize for all the disagreements you went through in our establishment.
Please believe that this experience does not reflect the effort and service we usually make and offer in our hotel.
Your feedback will be shared with the housekeeping manager so that no other client will experience this sort of intrusion.

Concerning the heated towel rail, I am terribly sorry and please do not hesitate to contact me directly at : montparnasse@book-inn-france.com so that we can exchange together.

Montparnasse is a great lively area for eating and enjoying the bars and this Hotel, right next to Gaite metro is superbly placed. The staff are great, breakfast is fine but the rooms are looking a little tired now.
I’ve stayed here before And I will stay again.

After a 7 hour flight on Christmas day arriving very early in the morning (Boxing Day) and after a security scare at CDG airport, we finally got the #4 bus transfer to Gare Monapasse. About 45 minutes from the airport. The walk to the hotel took us about 5 minutes and the only energy we had left. We were very thankful that reception was able to get us into a room early(it was 9AM...)
Having been to Europe a few times before we knew to expect smaller, oldish and drab rooms. The room was very comfortable. Bed was a bit hard but ....didn't matter. Rooms are suppose to be non smoking but you could get a smell from the curtains, Im thinking people smoking out the window. Nice bathroom with separate WC..lots of hot water and nice toiletries and towels. Room was very quiet. The only english channels on the TV were news channels. Two bottles of water, a Perrier and a beer in the fridge were free.
The hotel is located in a nice restaurant and shopping district. Breakfast was not included with the room. Full breakfast was $15 US Continental was $6,
When we had to make our way to our cruise boat the staff took control (thank you) ordered the Uber, gave them the proper address, in French and made sure the driver was English speaking...just in case...we found them very friendly and helpful...
