We called in here for an onion pletzel but were in awe of the cold meats and salads available. There was even space at the end ot the counter to have a glass of wine and an aperitif with the choice of the counter to taste!
No que! Great fresh homemade bread, pastrami, Dijon mustard and pickles 👍🏻😄 small place owner run, with selection of wines, street food
Or take on picnic
Simply put, this man knows what he's doing. We came as a somewhat large group and Michel (and his lovely wife!) walked us through an amazing tasting. Wine flowed, fantastic charcuterie was had...this is a TOP notch shop. Absolutely not to be missed. The duck pastrami was a personal favorite.
Yeh, Yeh, I've heard it all. Brooklyn delicatessens are da bomb!! Well, in fact this haven, in variety and quality for foodies has few rivals. This is where we come for the pastrami to make a 'Reuban's sandwich'. But before our gaze melts in heady profusion of delectables and fine charcuteries, we are offered a taste of chicken liver with onions, as silky as foie gras. My femme rolls her eyes in ecstasy while hold all expressions in a passionate embrace.
We watch as a podze calf's tongue , get thinly sliced. Another taste offering.... complex and delicate and oh-so-satisfying. next to the traditional fare lie the house dishes : duck pastrami, hazelnut sausages which the owner enthusiastically offers us to taste. These treats would keep us going as long as we could taste the whole shop.
