We all had a great time. Mod cons very useful for a young family.
Location superb. We will be coming back again I'm sure.
The magic doors and big staircase are often talked about by the kids.
Wifi was great too.
Right in the middle of Le Marais, such an great part of the city to stay in. Walked to all the major attractions, except the Eiffel Tower. The neighborhood is very safe and upper-end, great restaurants all around. The apartment is SO LARGE for the price. You feel like you live in the city staying here, the interior is great, just look at those pictures! Beware the 99 stair hike to get up and down each time, if you aren't in moderate shape, it will be a bit of a hassle. Fit people won't mind it at all. TOP marks, I would definitely recommend to a friend and would stay again.
The owner's husband is a police officer and is super friendly and is willing to answer any questions, so you'll feel safe and comfortable.
This is a gorgeous apartment in a fantastic area of Paris. We loved staying here. As a bonus, we became quite fit walking up the stairs.
The flat is located very centrally in the Marais, and with closed windows it is quiet enough to sleep. Two of the beds are comfortable. The loft bed is only feasible for those less than a metre in height, which is young enough that safety is a worry.
Flat could use updates/repairs. Most of the lamps were burnt out, shower has long-term mould, shower door handle comes off whilst you're inside. Has some charm, eclectically decorated.
Biggest negative for me, as someone who can only take a holiday if still available to my work, was the complete lack of Internet. I spent hours with my own IT people when Sylvie couldn't fix the issue and kept blaming my devices. Ended up running up vast roaming charges, and then being cut off from my Non-France EU provider.
Kitchen has good appliances, and excellent pots and pans. No wine glasses, good size setting of dishes. Frustratingly no decent knives and no paring knives at all.
This lovely apartment has a lot of space. The 6 of us stayed here very comfortably. It is a 6 minute walk to the metro and 15 minute walk to Notre Dame. The street is quiet, but in the heart of Le Marais so we found some great places to eat close by--including La Drougerie (an excellent and inexpensive creperie around the corner). My husband loved that the A/C worked PERFECTLY during a heat wave for our visit. The (many) stairs to the flat could be problematic for some after a long day. But our four year old managed just fine! We loved it and would stay here again!
