Indeed among the best French pastries I ever had. The croissants and paints au chocolat are fantastic. We went both days we were in Paris and I will consider this place proximity before booking hotels in the future! Be aware though that the almond croissant is not a "real" almond croissant but rather what is known as a "chinois" in other regions.
In case you're worried from other comments that you'll find them out of stock, it's worth noting that Square Trousseau cafe next door has their croissants as well in the breakfast menu.
