Not stayed in this part of Paris before, we were going to see ZZ Top at La Zenith and this hotel was not too far away. Well positioned hotel very close to Gare du Nord. The staff were very welcoming and friendly – nothing was too much trouble. We had a classic double room; this was a good sized room, very clean with laminate floor and a large walk in shower – also Nuxe toiletries which I love. Breakfast was included with the deal from Booking.com and was excellent it had something for everyone. Bacon, sausage, eggs (omelette, scrambled or boil your own) pastries, bread, toast, cold meat, cheese fresh fruit, fresh juice. The hot drinks were available throughout the day too. Well worth the money 😊

First off, definitely not a 4 star hotel, 3 stars at the most. Gare du Nord is not a nice area. It's full of sketchy looking layabouts, homeless and beggars. There are a number of ok brasseries. 5 main faults to our room: we paid a lot more money for a deluxe room but our room was tiny; looking onto the main road it was noisy; the security lock on the inside of our door didn't work so we felt unsafe. We reported this but nothing was done about it; the shower was very hotel, to the point of being scalding; and the sink was blocked so the water drained very slowly and left a 'drains' smell in the room. We will not be back.

Good. Clean. Small and well organised and run. Great breakfast and free coffee etc all day.

Very handy for Gare du nord and you can get the Metro down to the main attractions easily. Lots of places to eat within walking distance. Will come back if we use Eurostar again.
