We read about this restaurant in “Timeout” and could not possibly have had a better dining experience. We were greeted warmly and given the option to be seated at the Chef’s Counter. (See pic below of our new friend the Chef!) Service, falvors and dishes were all extraordinary. Signature cocktails were inventive without being precious and the Israeli Cabernet recommended was really delicious. The fluffy bread other reviewers have mentioned is a *must* as a starter and served with a combination of dipping sauces at various heat levels. The “bim bop” street corn appetizer was our favorite dish of the night (until desert). The beetroot appetizer would also be an absolute re-order…although in this case the chef surprised us with this dish because we had not ordered it and he really wanted us to try it. Our mains were the kebob and a risotto and…again…both were outstanding. Although the man sitting next to us was having the lamb chops and his wife informed us “he says they are better than sex and that is saying a LOT.” Our dinner closed with a chocolate mousse and since we were in Paris that is a high bar to clear in a mediterranean restaurant…but just “wow.” Chef served it with a sprinkle of sea salt and his secret…some fresh corriander. It was just incredible. The atmosphere is lively and the open kitchen creates a festive feeling punctuated by spontaneous singing and moments of celebration. Many thanks to “Timeout” for putting this on our radar. We will be back.
