This is a quirky hotel with interesting decor and exceptional staff.
The location was great and many tourist attractions were within walking distance. My family and I (husband and two teenage daughters), felt very safe out and about here.
Many thanks to all your team from the ladies who put out our breakfast in the morning, to the cleaners and receptionists for making our stay such a fun and relaxing one. We would like to give a particular mention to Hassi, Junior and Hadjar on the front desk.
Hadjar especially was able to make some super recommendations to us and was always bright, funny and intelligent- she is a credit to your hotel.

Dear Jane,

Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We're absolutely thrilled to hear that you and your family enjoyed your stay with us. It's great to know that the location worked well for your sightseeing and that you felt safe and comfortable throughout your visit.

I'm particularly grateful for your kind words about me — it was my pleasure to share some recommendations and to help make your stay more enjoyable! I’ll be sure to pass on your compliments to the entire team, from the breakfast ladies to the cleaning staff and our front desk crew. We’re all so glad to have been part of your memorable experience.

It would be an honor to welcome you all back again in the future . Wishing you all the best until then!

NB: I went to the bakery we talked about and the black bread is made with vegetable charcoal (that's why it turns black :).

Warm regards,

Hadjer | Adjointe de direction

Having stopped here 5 years ago we decided to come back to this chic hotel on a recent trip to Paris. It still has all the charm of a Parisian hotel with nice, obliging staff and some good extras.
The free coffee and tea in the reception, along with the sweets for kids are a great idea. There is a bar service that is very reasonably priced for Paris and the continental breakfast is more than adequate.
The only down side is that the hotel has not been decorated since the last time we were there and is now more shabby chic than chic.
A great place to explore Montmartre and the rest of Paris from including Euro Disney which was a 50 min train ride away .

Room tip: Use uber taxis, so much cheaper than the Parisian taxis

Dear Paul,

Thank you so much for returning to our hotel and for taking the time to share your thoughts. We're so glad to hear that you enjoyed our location and the little touches like the free coffee, tea, and sweets — it’s always a pleasure to hear that these extras made your stay more enjoyable. We also appreciate your kind words about our staff and breakfast service!

We’re sorry to hear that the decor no longer meets your expectations. We are constantly working to maintain the charm and character of the hotel, and your feedback is invaluable as we continue to make improvements. We hope that despite this, you still had a memorable time exploring Montmartre and Paris!

It would be a pleasure to welcome you back in the future, and we hope your next visit will be even more delightful.

Warm regards,
Hadjer | Adjointe de direction

We stayed here for the Olympics (4 female friends). The staff were extremely efficient, helpful & friendly. Great location for Moulin Rouge, Monmartre & Sacre Couer. Good quality buffet breakfast. Free coffee, water & pastries available throughout the day. Excellent city hotel.

The hotel is very vibrant and beautiful! The staff are super caring and friendly. Honestly, would be a lost child without them. The rooms are beautiful and sits beautiful with the culture. Very economical for how close they are to the city centre as well. I would definitely recommend. Sara is a star!!

ATROCIOUS. I called the receptionist (Nader), a few days before arrival (in perfect French) to explain about one of our guests in two rooms arriving earlier than us. His response, in French: “yes but what is your question”. Perfect example of Parisian hostility versus hospitality. Next: our guest arrives at 1600, is not allowed into her room even though it was past check-in time, and her room isn’t “ready” says “Nader” with no apology. Our guest leaves her luggage with the hotel and they send her luggage to the wrong room!!!!! Again, no apology but only Parisian arrogance. Beautiful city, horrible customer service unless you pay for the George V hotel. Please do not ever step foot in this terrible tourist trap of Paris - and certainly not the Kipling Hotel - unless you have no expectation of service or you are wealthy enough to buy courtesy.

It is a nice looking hotel and very conveniently located. Good for travellers who come in from Gare du Nord! The Parisian man who greeted me for check-in was very interesting and hearing him explain the amenities of the hotel in his Paris accent was a highlight. The rooms were comfortable. I did not get a balcony, which would have been epic. The location is great! Lots of bars around and good food! Breakfast was continental. I personally am not a fan of continental breakfast! Which continent is my question!? But the croissants were fresh!

Each room had a Nespresso machine, which is a delight!

The shower was excellent. The water pressure was a surprise and it soaked the bathroom and hallway floor. Maybe Poseidon was mad that day at me like he was with Oddyseus! They have this towel heater in the bathroom which is a French thing. I inquired with the receptionist and couldn't believe I never seen one in my life! It makes the bathroom warm! Which is good, especially on a cold winter day!

I have two complaints. The elevator was always blocked with vacuum cleaners multiple times to transport towels. But stairs are good for the heart, maybe they were looking out for me!

My second complaint is I was constantly asked what my room number was. I am a very unique looking client during my stay!

Night receptionist was interesting.

If I were to go back, I would most likely stay there again.

Also when googling your hotel name, its in Chinese for some reason. I forgot how to read Mandarin!

Room tip: The Showers are weirdly strong. Like too strong.
