We stayed for 2 nights mid-week. 30mins walk from Gare du Nord station, it’s well located for Montmartre district, just 5mins from the Moulin Rouge. Quaint and quirky with references to Rudyard Kipling throughout the decor. Staff were polite and friendly. There is complimentary tea, coffee available in reception plus drinking water that can filled into glass bottles and taken to the rooms.
Our first night we stayed in room 206 which was small but well appointed. Super comfortable beds, generous size. Kettle in the room and a coffee machine. Toiletries supplied in the bathroom and the shower had a good pressure. The area grew quiet after midnight and we had a decent sleep.
Breakfast is located downstairs in the cellar, time it right though, as limited seating so you may have to wait for a free table. However, good choice of foods for breakfast which was constantly restocked by the friendly waitress.
Our second night was in room 405, there’d been an issue the previous night-it needs 2 keycards to be inserted into the holder to gain lights and electricity. This “superior” room was slightly larger with an en suite bathroom.
All in all, we would stay here again.
