This review is written part-way though our three nights' stay.
The hotel is definitely quaint with helpful, welcoming and friendly staff. Our room is very small for the cost, a little worn but the bathroom excellent and well-equipped. The main disappoitment is breakfast. Significant items ordered were missing, such as fruit salad, milk and butter, as well as no salt included. We highlighted the error and the missing items were delivered some forty five minutes later. We had the impression there is no kitchen although an instant coffee machine in use (cappuccino was eventually delivered when americano was ordered). The boiled eggs weren't cooled, leaving green-tinged yolks. With only one chair in the room, it's either take turns to eat or eat standing up or sitting on the bed.
The hotel clearly suits many travellers, but at a cost in excess of £200 per night after discount, this feels very poor value for money. Probably a voucher to use in a local restaurant with chairs and tables would be an alternative breakfast option for the hotel to offer.
