Our recent stay at this hotel was disappointing in many aspects, despite its fantastic location, one of the best views from the roof top and great Parisian flavor.
The hotel clearly has potential (location, charm, building) but needs a refresh.
The interior is dated, and upon arrival, there was a bad sewer smell in the bathroom, which only disappeared after a few showers. While the beds were comfortable and the linen clean, the dark corridor outside our room served as a storage area for bed linen carts, adding to the overall lack of tidiness.
Additionally, the elevator was out of service for two days during our stay. Although taking the stairs could have been a good way to stay fit, the persistent smell made it an unpleasant experience.
The breakfast was another letdown. No black tea was available for several days, only herbal and green tea, despite our repeated requests. The bread selection was nice, but the coffee quality was poor. The staff in the breakfast room were inattentive and seemed disengaged. They did not refill empty plates and needed to be reminded several times by hotel guests.
We also planned to visit the rooftop restaurant, but it was booked for a private party, which fell below my expectations.
Overall, given the price, the experience was far from satisfactory. This hotel has potential but needs significant improvements in both service and amenities.
