The location was perfect with Metro need by. There is a wonderful cafe called Argument close by to get a quick glass of wine or a bite to eat. Will definitely rebook as it was perfect!
The boulangerie is located in the 15th arrondissement of Paris, so a bit away from the main part of the city and the tourist attractions, but it is just around the corner from a metro station and the trains come very frequently, even though we were at the second last stop on the line.
It was nice to be in an area with few tourists and to get an idea of how the locals lived, shopped and travelled etc. We had some lovely experiences with some Pariesiennes at local restaurants, boulangeries etc.
It's quite small but that's OK for a short stay. The bed is big and comfy. The shower is small but with good pressure. The shower head kept slipping down, but we managed to fix that.
Our main disappointments were that:
• it's on the ground floor and if you open the front shutters and open the small window, passers-by can look straight in. It’s also not terribly secure;
• there was no microwave;
• there was only one mug/cup;
• the computer screen/TV is tiny;
• we were there for 11 nights and the floors got a bit dirty by the end of our stay but there was no broom; and
• there were only two (fairly small and thin) towels which were pretty grotty after 11 days.
(I don't think it would take much to rectify these)
Christopher wasn’t there to greet us but had a friend do it who was lovely. We did get to meet Christopher on our last morning and he was also charming.
We had a fabulous stay in Paris and can’t wait to go back.
We stayed in the apartment for 5 nights. Good location and two metro stations nearby. Cozy apartment but the kitchen lacked utensils and a microwave should be included! We didnt have any chance to cook but on our last night we wanted to heat some pasta bought from a near supermarket and a microwave could have been useful! I tried to use the hairdryer but wasnt working. Also, we couldnt find the iron as it was mentioned in the listing. Chris the owner was very nice and showed us around the neighborhood.
This tiny apartment is close to the Eiffel Tower and has great access to two subway stations (just minutes from the front door). There are numerous bars, restaurants, supermarkets and speciality shops just around the corner. Christophe was easy to contact before our stay and replied promptly to our questions. He met us on arrival and took us on a tour of the apartment and then a tour of the local area pointing out good restaurants and the location of different shops and other amenities. He was quick to help us out when we mistakenly locked our key inside the apartment. It was very quiet at night enabling good sleeping, important for travellers recovering from jet lag.
