I absolutely adored this area during my stay in Paris. The shops and restaurants were great. The St Germain Church and Luxembourg Gardens are a most visit in this area.

This part of the Left Bank has a well deserved reputation and there is plenty to enjoy from the fantastic array of cafes and restaurants to the plethora of high end shops and art galleries. Like the Champs Elysee, the dinning can be pricey but the atmosphere more than makes up for it. It is close to the Seine, so easy to reach if you have spent the day at the museums, central Paris sights (Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel Tower or the badly damaged Notre Dame) or have gone shopping on the Champs Elysee. An easy place to relax in and enjoy.

A trip to Paris would not be complete without at least half a day strolling through this quarter. It’s all here: history, culture, brasseries, cafes, bakeries, even some upscale shopping. It’s eclectic in areas and unbelievably cool. This is a great area for antiquing, too. The quaint streets off the boulevard St. Germain are stock full of hidden treasures deserving of a look. There is a lot going on here and it’s fun to watch life going by.
If you can, enlist the services of a guide who will navigate you to some of the most historic spots. You may learn some fun historic facts along your stroll!

Walk to everything, far livelier than the Right Bank, but less expensive. The artistic and intellectual center of the city.

Great hotels, restaurants, cafes, shopping and vibe. Go see the big sites then return here to chill and wander.
