this was a mansion where he had been a renter. He then went on to be the only one in here. The building (chateau?) was gorgeous and it was fascinating to walk through the rooms he had lived in and see his art from original "studies" he did to the final work. Also, his sculptures are in the beautiful garden spaces outside as well. Stunning lovely small museum. glad we went.

A must-visit museum if you come to Paris . The garden of sculptures is beatiful, an oasis in the middle of the city.

This should be on everyone's list of must do museums in Paris. No need to have an advance reservation. $10 Euros for the museum and the gardens. If you are short on time the Gardens can be seen in under an hour for only $4 Euros. Even people who don't like museums will love this.

The Museum is located in the very building where Rodin has been working and living and is full of his sculptures and other works of art he donated to the French state. It has been recently refurbished and is very pleasant and educational. The building and its content is very interesting but just as exciting are the gardens beautifully landscaped and packed with major works from the artist.

This little gem of a museum is always a pleasure to revisit. The lovely gardens, featuring Rodin's most famous pieces, are themselves worth a visit. To see The Thinker, Gates of Hell, Burghers of Calais and other powerful pieces in the open air is just fantastic.
