Description: 50 meters from the Champs-Elysées, La Maison de l’Aubrac is one of the few restaurants devoted to world class beef in Paris. The Aubrac beef offered on the menu comes directly from the family owned farm "Les Vialars". Quality, traceability and transparency play an important role at La Maison de l´Aubrac. The offered beef is solely NHTC (non hormone treated cattle). The meat of the Aubrac contains less intramuscular fat with a very pure and tender character and taste. Aubrac - an authentic piece of culinary France that has its place among the best cattle breeds of the world.

Aubrac Corner (Next door to Maison de l'Aubrac) is a quality fast food for a delicious burger at lunch time. Delicious for the meat quality and the bread. The french fries were also a success. Avoid the sandwiches that happend to be quite disappointing (specially the Foie gras).

In this area of Paris, it's not easy to find a good value restaurant so even though it was not a bargain, it was well worth it in the neighbourhood.

The Restaurant was few meters from our hotel,so we decided to have diner with friends.
The staff very relaxed , our waiter had a nice sense of humor. As a starter we had a foie gras
With some rhubarb at the side, very good and of course we had meat, very good quality,
Accompanied with a bottle of red Volney , excellent.

After stumbling upon this steak house, as it lives just a few doors down from where we were staying, we decided on a rainy evening to give it a go. I must admit that the waiters were very friendly, welcoming and happily communicated with me in English as my French is basic at best.

The wine list is absolutely huge, but the variety is there to suit all pockets from 20+ euros up to the hundreds of euros for a bottle.

They have in house Sommeliers to help you choose the right wine to go with your meal/dessert, who are very helpful and knowledgeable. You can either pick your own or ask for advice.

The food was lovely, I had a starter of egg plant (aubergine) and goats cheese wrapped in a dried ham, followed by Beef Tenderloin. My husband had the Tomato & Mozerella drizzled with balsamic vinegar and then the tenderloin as well.

He ordered his meat 'medium', I ordered mine 'rare' and when the meat arrived (even though the waiter said that mine was 'Blu' which worried me for a moment) but they were both perfectly cooked for our liking, tender, juicy and just lovely. The sauté potatoes were stunning too!

For dessert they bring the board of desserts to show you (which really helps), as we weren't intending to have a dessert but they just looked so good. We both had a chocolate type torte slice with biscuit base, that was absolutely divine!

The presentation was fab, the waiters and sommeliers were lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We may even pay them another visit before we leave Paris.

Recommended to give it a go if you love a nice steak (vegetarians stay away!)

Total bill for two people 169 euros, inc bottle of wine (41 euros), starters, mains and dessert

I've been a regular for many years, and am glad to report that despite the opening of the first floor and despite the (much regretted) disappearance of the DeVez branch on Place de l'Alma, this address remains the best true steakhouse I know about in Paris, and its incredible Wine List (worthy of a 3-star Michelin) is by itself an Historical Monument that should be enshrined in any good City of Paris guide.
OK, if you don't like steaks or good wine don't go there but please don't complain !
But if you do - prepare for a lovely meal !

Having lived in Paris for 4 years whilst I was at University, I spent many an evening in this restaurant, devouring a steak at 3am (they’re open 24/7) having just exited some bar or nightclub. On a couples trip with my husband and his sister and brother in law, we found ourselves starving, on the Avenue des Champs-Elysees at around 10pm and this restaurant sprung into my head. We were greeted with the warmest service and the menu was wholly unchanged from how I remember it 10 years ago. The range of steaks and cuts of beef on the menu is vast. The side dishes are simple, but outstanding. I remember the Aligot (garlicky-cheesy-creamy-mash) being incredible and it still is. I also would highly recommend the courgette crumble- utterly delicious. The starters were delicious- the dishes of note being the foie gras and the tartare de saumon. The wine list was pricey and the bill around £70 per person, but we had a fantastic time, in a great location and I can’t wait to go back again.
