This is not a luxury hotel but for convenience, cleanliness and professional staff I am giving it four stars. The hotel is about a seven minute walk from the train station and an easy five minute walk to the beautiful Cathedral and old town. The rooms are on the small side and it took a bit of effort to comfortable fit in our two large suitcases.
The bed was comfortable and there was a small but well functioning shower with seperate toilet. There was a lovely dormer window overlooking the street and it was very quiet.
The staff were exceptional, I have to particularly commend Marie on reception who spoke excellent English and went out of her way to accommodate any request. We stayed for three nights and had breakfast in the hotel once, it was perfectly adequate.
There is a very efficient laundromat close by and many options for food. I had several very good coffees at Kaffein which is located in a square close to the Cathedral.
We visited the Henriot Quimper factory and shop, the museum of Fine Art and Museum of History of Breton.
Whist not luxurious, Hotel Escale Oceania was a very good option and very reasonably priced. More
