“Fantastic holiday in Dinan”

We've had a lovely stay in Dinan. The house was great, only a short walk into Dinan or the village of Lehon (lovely outdoor pool - great for young children).
Loads to do in the area for the whole family and so nice to be able to pop out for dinner at the drop of a hat.
Only two very small things, the house could do with a hairdryer and the road can be slightly noisy during the night but then you are in a town so not a massive issue.
We just need to book next year again now!

Liked best: Proximity to the town and also easy to get into the countryside for walks etc.
Liked least: Garden was lovely but the shrub bush in the middle is taking over. As a gardener myself I would deal with this asap

“Excellent house and position for a great French holiday.”
Reviewed 16 July 2015 for a stay in June 2015

We loved the house which was typically French . The house was well appointed with every convenience and well situated for walking into the town. On our arrival the gardener met us and introduced himself. We were also contacted by Wendy, the local agent who gave us her telephone number and told us to ring her if there was anything that we needed.
The town of Dinan was medieval with a lovely friendly feel , where we really enjoyed wandering around the many shops and bars where the locals were so warm and welcoming..
The river Rance runs through Dinan and the area alongside the river is alive with restaurants which we enjoyed.
Whilst there we visited four different lovely beaches of which the furthest was less than an hour from the house and another thing that we found in our favour was that the port of St Malo was only half an hour from where we sailed to and from .
We already have recommended this holiday house to many people that we know and would do so to anybody else that is considering a break in France.

“Great for kids, close to centre & fab play park, lovely house great views”

When we arrived I instantly felt at home. The house and the setting are most definitely French, but have all the mod cons you need and plenty of space - there's a separate lounge and dining room which is really nice - it feels like a proper Breton home, not a cheaply furnished holiday let. It was just a short walk to town, which has been preserved very well with much of the medieval buildings and the town ramparts remaining - there's a real character about it. Loads of bars, taverns and gift shops packed with amazing crafts. The river is beautiful - highly recommend a walk along it - we saw a lizard much to the kids delight!
Highly recommend staying here - very helpful British owners too - gave us great advice about a lovely beach on the Brittany Coast that is much less touristy.
