Outstanding crepes, cider and side salad; good service. Just across the parking lots from the old fortress.

This is easy to walk past but don't be misled by outside appearance or the word 'New'. Across the road from the Fort, to the left, maximum 3 mins walk, this is a great little place. Seating inside or out (we sat inside) it's comfortable and most importantly has really top quality crêpes; four of us had different savoury then sweet to follow, all perfectly cooked and presented. We have eaten at many crêperies over the years and this is as good as the best we've visited, offering something different as well as the classical menu. Scallops and whisky really is special, and the home speciality sweet crêpes are a really lovely variation that we haven't seen elsewhere. The staff are great and, as it's a relatively small place, service is attentive. Last but not least you'll pay a little less than the more touristy kitchens across the road.. all in all thoroughly recommended.

This is the very best Creperie the three of us have ever been to.

The scallops on "ble noir" with whisky were soft and juicy. Sensational.

To follow two of us had the home made beef burger which was tender and delicious served on baps made from the same black flour.

The other had the warm goats cheese salad which was also delicious.

To follow the crepe with apple and Lambig de Bretagne was amazing.

Service was so kind and friendly.

No wonder TripAdvisor members rate it number one in Concarneau.

We have been to a number of creperies during our time in France but this one stands out! The incredible flavours of the food, the service and the atmosphere made for a wonderful evening!

We visited Ty Be New on a busy Friday afternoon and just managed to squeeze in for lunch about 10 minutes before they closed. We both started with a galette. I had the Saint Jacques (scallops) in whisky sauce which was one of the most expensive on the menu, but still quite reasonable. It was fantastic: tasty, fresh, soft scallops in a beautifully crisp ble noir galette (buckwheat pancake). This was accompanied by good local cider served in traditional bowls and followed by a sweet crepe. The venue is quite informal - a simple café with indoor and outdoor tables on the edge of the marketplace overlooking the harbour. The service is exemplary. It was so good, we just had to go back for another lunch the day after. That time I tried the fantastic hand made burger on buckwheat 'crown' buns.

One tip if you go - by watching other tables we discerned it's quite normal to have more than one of what you like, and it's cheap enough, so just go for it.
