You get what you pay for...

The room was clean, but dated. No air conditioning meant that the window had to be kept open at all times; this meant that due to noisy construction work nearby our early mornings were disturbed. The kitchen tap was not fitted to the worktop (see photos). The tap in the bathroom was also completely detached from the sink. The boiler was very prominent in the bathroom meaning my boyfriend had to lean back whilst taking a number one! The shower mixing valve itself was extremely hot, to the point that my boyfriend was scolded twice and I once from accidentally leaning against it while showering. The lift had a mind of its own; not ideal given we were on the top floor. The parking was at additional cost which was not made obvious at the time of booking through Booking.com, the same goes for breakfast. The access mechanism to the car park was also a bit of a faff, involving ringing a phone number from a registered mobile.

To make matters worse, the external keypad to get into the building broke one evening, stranding ourselves and a new arrival outside. Since reception was closed, I phoned the number on the door and spoke to a guy who was very unhelpful, even though I spoke to him in French. He didn’t believe there was a problem and didn’t know what could be done at that time of night; he said he would ring back but never did. Someone else also turned up and rang him, only to have the same response. Eventually we were let in by a couple of people already in the building who said to just push the door very hard... which worked; not very secure!

Overall, a bad experience. Next time we will pay more for nicer accommodation.

The hotel was a little far from the centre and the area around doesn't feel very safe, also there is construction going on across the road which also was a noise not wanted. The hotel room was a good size and clean and generally no issues there except for the fact that it was close to 40 degrees outside and the room offered no Aircon. So the fan was constantly on and the window fully open allowing the noise from the street and construction and not much sleep. This would be a good place in winter.

It was a great place to stay in Bordeaux. The rooms were big, beds comfortable, bathroom very nice. We had a lovely view from our room. Parking available. The only thing is the neighbourhood around isn't amazing but if you are going into the city every day to visit then it's fine. There is a tram very close so very easy to get around. I would recommend this place if you are looking for a reasonably priced accomodation while staying in Bordeaux.

We were in Bordeaux, 3 couples in this hotel, perfect for a short stay in the city easy access to train station, trams and buses. Restaurants and bars easy walking distance. The hotel was clean, good sized rooms, excellent secure parking which is very important in large cities. Staff were very helpful and pleasant.

I stayed here a few weeks ago for one night. I opted for this hotel as the photos on all the different sites made it look like a lovely hotel. How wrong was I?

First off you have until 9pm to get your key for your room, which is not advertised anywhere, I only know this because the receptionist rang me to see where I was, and what time I would be arriving. My train arrived at Bordeaux at 8:40pm and I needed to rung to get there in time.

I got the key to my room, and talk about disappointed does not cover it.
The rooms are dated and nothing like advertised in the photos they have put on the internet.

The bathroom is small, with a huge water boiler over the toilet. I am 5ft1 and found it a struggle not to smack my head everytime I used the toilet.

The sink unit was broke, and the tap was not fixed down properly and wobbles about when you try and use it.

The shower had several hoels dotted around. No idea why and what had previously made these holes.

The flooring was chipped and broke throughout the room.

I went to plug my phone in to charge it and found the cables leading up to the plug socket were open, very dangerous.

Someone tried several times getting into my room at 11pm; and when you are a woman travelling on your own, this is scary.

No aircon in the room, so you will cook slowly throughout the night.

No hairdryer! Seriously what hotel doesn't offer a hairdryer?

The hotel is situated on a very busy room, and the noise through out the night is awful.

I hardly slept here, and I would recommend not staying here.

Not value for money. Go further up the road to the All Suites apparthotel.

Room tip: Dont book here

I liked the apartment but feel they need to be better equipped in the kitchen areas. There was nothing to make tea or coffee in, no kettle or coffee maker, which, after a long journey we all look forward to. I found the equipment very limited. Overall it was spacious enough and clean. Comfortable bed, but pillows typically French with a flat unpuffy feeling :( I didnt like the fact that the bathroom is open without a door, so when you are showering anyone else in the room can see you, not a problem for a couple, but for friends sharing it would be a problem.
