We were so pleasantly surprised by the warm hospitality and friendliness by all of the staff members at this hotel. It really elevated our overall experience and made our stay so much more enjoyable. Everyone was friendly, helpful and accommodating. They really made us feel at home.

The room was spacious and quiet. We had a king size bed overlooking the view of the city. It was a nice upgrade and we were able to see the sunrise in the morning from this view. I also liked the decor of the hotel and the rooms, midcentury modern style with some quirkiness.

We had dinner at the restaurant and the food was excellent. Cocktails were also very good. We will definitely come back to stay here. The trams in Bordeaux were super convenient to help us get around, there is a direct tram going to the airport right in front of the hotel. And downtown Bordeaux is only 15-20 min walk from the hotel. Great location!

10/10 for everything about FirstName Bordeaux. The hotel itself is beautifully furnished, very relaxed and modern. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. The room was beautifully laid out and we had the best night sleep - even asked where they got their beds and pillows from! Had dinner one evening and the food was sublime. There is a tram station close to the hotel and this takes you directly to the airport. Hotel is close to other restaurants and about a ten minute walk to many attractions. Highly recommend. Unless you don't care if the hotel where you booked a reservation and made a first night deposit gives away your room, do NOT book a room at FirstName Bordeaux -- which, by the way, is a Hyatt hotel. My wife and I were traveling from Amsterdam to Bordeaux but when our direct flight was cancelled, I called FirstName Bordeaux, where we had booked a reservation, to let them know that we were catching a later flight and that we would not arrive till close to midnight. We were told not to worry, our room would be waiting for us when we got there. When we checked in that night, we were informed that the room had been given away despite the promise to hold it and that the hotel had found us another room elsewhere in the city and that since they couldn't reach a taxi at that late hour, we would have to walk there. We chose a Hyatt hotel because we figured it was a reliable chain. Boy, were we wrong! My advice -- try any other hotel if you're planning to visit this elegant city and don't want to be wandering around from hotel to hotel at midnight.
