We had a very pleasant seven nights stay in large, well equiped and decorated, very quiet room overlooking Cours Marechal Foch. What we apreciated very much were the politeness, the efficiency and friendliness of all the staff. Thank you all.

Very inviting hotel and reception. We were made to feel very welcome. Room was great as was the breakfast. Quiet location, but easy to get to any of the main places you might want to go in Bordeaux. The were very accommodating for any request and gave great restaurant recs.

The staff here were the best we have found on European travel . From the minute we arrived it was warm and friendly. A particular mention to Anais who was simply superb. It was wonderful to have a pool, gym and sauna at the end of a day exploring and a free minibar to refresh you.

We decided to splurge when we went to Bordeaux and booked a room at Villas Foch. It is located close to the center of the old town and the trams are across the street.
The staff were very welcoming and let us speak our basic French with patience, The breakfast buffet was marvellous - there were so many choices that it took our full stay to work through them. Our room was small but comfortable.
The staff, especially Camille, were very helpful in resolving a couple of challenges. First, we wanted to visit Michel de Montaigne's tower, where he wrote his essays in the 1500s. We didn't want to rent a car and there isn't any public transit. Camille helped figure out how we could get there. It wasn't inexpensive but this was one of the reasons we came to Bordeaux.
We found it challenging to find a restaurant for dinner during the Fête du Travail. Most were closed but Camille came to the rescue.
When we return to Bordeaux we will return to the Villas Foch.

We are just back from a three night stay in villa Foch. We had a wonderful time. The hotel is a boutique hotel and is so comfortable. The foyer / stairwell is stunning. The staff are so friendly and helpful and welcoming. The room..’cosy chambre’ was small and compact and suited our needs perfectly. The hotel is spotlessly clean. The Sauna and pool were wonderful and I used it every day after walking for hours around Bordeaux. I would highly recommend you go to la Tupina for a wonderful experience. It is a restaurant that featured in Rick Steins Bordeaux program. We also ate one lunch and had several coffee and carrot cake(the nicest ever) visits to Horace cafe. There is also a gorgeous Boulangerie called Terre de Beaulieu. The artisan breads and cakes are delicious. Villa Foch is perfectly positioned within walking distance of everywhere.
