Great hotel in quiet location, a short tram ride or leisurely half hour to 40 min stroll ( even for my octogenarian parents) along the river to old town. Excellent, helpful staff, easy check in/ out lovely clean rooms ( 208 and 209) which were very quiet ( no traffic noise, or noise from other rooms) very Comfortable bed, plenty of towels and toiletries. The immediate area has plenty of restaurants and bars, and is a lot less crowded and cheaper for dining than the old town. Try the Halls de Bacalan just over the river for a great evening of dining and drinking. At 20€ pp for breakfast (we think overpriced) in the hotel we decided to find a cafe instead, one almost immediately next door and considerably less than hotel price, however a short stroll to Chartrons we found a fantastic cafe with amazing coffee and pastries. The hotel offers two restaurants and a rooftop bar. The rooftop bar has amazing views and gets the setting sun, some drinks however overly priced. Only open from 5pm but there is a bar downstairs open during the day.
We enjoyed staying out of the old town, was good to walk away from the bustle at the end of the day and this hotel offered everything we required for a short city stay; clean, comfortable, quiet with dining options on the doorstep.
