Good Value Property

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 29 Aug 2024
Really good hotel - excellent breakfast; decent size room; dinner reasonable (menu a little limited). We paid 149 Euros per night inclusive of breakfast for 4 of us. Parking is a lot (22 Euros per day) - we used the garage across the street. We spent three days there with 2 young boys and ate close by each evening (a good steak restaurant - OQG - on the other side of the road). Location is not ideal for the city centre but it is walkable. Well worth a stay - one of the better Garden Inns.

clean, tidy, spacious room, nice big walk in shower with tea/coffee facilities, comfy bed and pillows, lovely breakfast buffet, the staff are nice and very helpful, my only small problem was the lifts, designed by a chap who only had a rudimentary idea of how they should work. 9/10

Room tip: about 2k from city centre, a good walk.

It was a Nice rooms and a pleasant staff. 2 blocks from a tram station. The room did not come with breakfast. I forgot money in the safe and the staff returned it to us through the mail. Go to Bordeaux if you get a chance, it is a boatful city with lots to do.

Excellent Hilton Gsrden inn. Good gym and restaurant services. Very clean and modern. Weird location 15 minutes from center of town . But there is a good fall hall and grocery store next door. Hard to get taxis and Ubers to town.
Nice view of the river in up and coming neighborhood

Room tip: 15 minutes ftom town. Not walkable but close to train station

This was my 2nd visit to this hotel. Other reviews have said about the hotel not being in the centre - this is true but it’s only a short walk to the tram which is really cheap / efficient
The staff at the reception were always really polite and helpful plus always smiling / approachable.
Breakfast was nice but could have done with more “wet” options for example beans or mushrooms. I did ask the chef for an omelette to which he told me there was a €4 charge - I’ve never heard of this ? I did agree to it but never received anyway.
Our room was on the 8th floor and was a twin room. All very clean and had a nice hot shower.
I would recommend this hotel as it’s very good value .

The location of this hotel resembles a war zone. Closed roads, illogical temporary one way systems, graffiti decorated streets and piles of rubble at the sides of the road. Certainty not somewhere I would feel safe walking around at night!
Avoid.

Dear Nick G,

Thank you for taking a moment and reviewing our neighborhood and location. We are very sorry that you did not enjoy the surroundings of the hotel. The ongoing construction is to allow our guests a more convenient and enjoyable walkable path to the heart of the city.
Our neighborhood hosts some major bank and vineyards headquarters, multiples restaurants and a foodcourt and a supermarket. We are sorry you were not able to fully enjoy what it has to offer.
We are very sorry that your review does not mention our service or hotel facilities, we would have loved to benefit from your feedback.

It would be our pleasure to welcome you back in Bordeaux and show you our will to offer top-notch service.
