We made a reservation for 2 nights at this hotel for late August, but the day before I was taken ill and we had to return to London where I had emergency surgery. We notified the hotel the day before we were to arrive; I had hoped they would let us cancel but they did not. Most hotels only charge you for the first night if you need to cancel fur such an emergency.
I had hoped they would understand the circumstances but they have charged us for both nights - over 1000 Euros total, in spite of this being a medical emergency.
We hope to come to Bordeaux next summer but we won't be staying at this establishment! A little compassion and charging only for the first night would have gone a long way. Or even a future credit?
