This hotel is not for everyone. The hotel occuplies part of a huge former industrial building in a neighborhood with not much else. It is far from the center of town, but not more than about a 15-minute ride on the excellent nearby tram. A little hard to find without a map app. Nothing to walk to, except a couple of small bar-type cafes with interesting features (one had a climbing wall; the other actual water surfing). The hotel bustles with young people and a very good front desk staff. Kind of fun, once we got used to the uniqueness of the experience.
The room was adequate, but very small and not particularly well lit. There was the advertised kitchenette (a small fridge and two-burner stove), but not really suitable for real cooking and no nearby market. The bathroom was small, but fine, with nice shower pressure. No room cleaning or towel changes, so not particularly suited for a long stay.
Altogether, we're happy we decided to continue with our 3-day reservation to stay there, but would probably not choose the experience, if we come to Bordeaux again.
