Reviewed 2 weeks ago via mobile

We take the bikes down to the small car park at Broughton, then do the Guild Wheel in a clockwise direction. It’s about 22 miles in total with a couple of cafes enroute. It is easier doing it clockwise as there is a steep hill near Brockhalls, which is a get off and push if you do it anti-clockwise.
It’s a really good 2hr ride

This is a great route for all levels. It can be undulating but no harm in getting off and walking. A few good brew stops on route finished with late lunch at Continental! Majority of it safe but you do have to cross a few busy roads! It’s good fun and you get to see Preston at all angles!

We walked the Guild Wheel from the docks. The whole 22 miles round it took us 9 hours with a few stops in between Great day out . How ever the down side to this is the behaviour of the cyclists ' and I don't mean children its the grown men in lycra they treat the guild as race track they don't have a bell they nearly knock your over then give you loads of abuse.you just need eyes at back of your head

We have cycled around the wheel several times and never tire of it as it is guaranteed safe cycling. As close as you get to cycling in Europe.
