A nice park with a small zoo for children
Good lake to walk round and a cafe and Pub on site.
Play areas are well maintained but popular so better to use play areas for children earlier in day

Day didn't start well with only 1 ticket machine working accepting card payments and I qued for 20mins! Then when I entered the park and saw its upgrades I was shocked and wondered how it passed the safety inspection! How can the new big climbing frame be safe? If a child slipped on the bridge the would fall straight off of it and probably break something! As for the nature trail I've always been happy to pay the prices but today I was disappointed in how many enclosures were empty and left to become over grown.

visited yesterday, and in spite of the park being much better than it used to be, it still has the dog owners that think everyone loves their dog, no we don’t want your dogs jumping up at us, no we don’t want to protect our children/ grandchildren from dogs that think everybody wants to play with them when they charge at us.
and take your dog poo away with you, don’t leave it on the path for the rain to turn it into pooh slush, don’t let your dogs off the lead to kill the swans and cygnets

We had an excellent time visiting tilgate nature park and enjoying the tapir time experience! The staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgable. The tapir time experience was hands on and well worth the money! Finished with a great ice cream from the cafe too. Thanks for a great day out :)
