first impressions, reception was in a corridor, but made very welcome, later that day we were meeting friends in a restuarant a few miles away and the young lady there was very helpful with directions.

Room Tip: rooms off main road were quieter

Nice clean hotel, ideally situated for Derby City Centre and the M1.Free parking is a bonus at this Travelodge. No restaurant at the hotel, but the Toby carvery is next door and there are loads of takeaways and an Aldi nearby. The staff are very welcoming & friendly.

On first impressions this hotel didnt seem very welcoming at all. When you walk through the door you find yourself standing in what seems like a corridor with a reception desk and a doorway to the rooms.

There are no seats to sit and wait.
The receptionist was friendly and check in was quick.
She didnt explain about food at tbe pub next door or any other amenities, but did say to ask if we needed anything.

When we entered our room we couldnt believe how cool and refreshing it was, especially during the 32 degree heatwave we were having at the time.

The room was clean and well equipped of coffee, tea and sugars but the soap dispenser did run out after one person had a shower.

The bed was very comfortable and there was no noise inside or outside.

Check out was quick and simple and the receptionist asked how our stay was and wished us a good day.

We will not hesitate to return again.
(Perhaps you should consider extending your reception area to make it a little more inviting and to maybe have room for a couple of seats so the others can sit down while one of them checks in!)

Was over in West Midlands safari park having a day out, decided then to pop over to derby as we used to live their and haven’t been back in 10years, booked our room, on arrival all was well, got to our room and the 2 single beds hadn’t been made, but luckily the night staff sorted it out, nice lady. Very clean and tidy.
