Just back from a great stay in Newpark.

Staff were friendly, helpful and easy going.

The room was very big, I'd guess that the hotel was extended in phases over the years and we were in a newer phase, we only saw rooms in our block, but all were a good size.

In our family room, there was a double bed and 2 single beds, one on each side of the double bed if you know what I mean.

The bathroom was a good size and there were Orla Kiely guest supplies - fancy!

Food was good, service efficient and all areas were comfortable.

Small points were that the hotel is a bit dark, cavernous and some parts you can see a little wear and tear. I don't understand why Irish hotels continue with small "half" cups. No one uses these at home! Please buy mugs and ditch the cup and saucers.

Staff need to look guests in the eye and not at the computer and be more confident, every guest interaction is a fresh chance to impress.

Buffet Breakfast was good and our table ordered extra omelettes and fried eggs and it was no problem.

Very special thanks to Niall and (I think) Sally, very professional and helpful.

Plenty of parking and easy access from the motorway and then ring road.

Have just returned from a two night stay and was not impressed at all with the room standard.. Very dated rooms, awful bathrooms badly in need of an update, tv was a joke, cold room just not 4 star watsoever. They seem to throw all the families into the old dated rooms to keep them away from other guests as we had a small baby with us. The spa closed at 4pm on the day we arrived and when check in is at 3pm it was not possible to use any of these facilities very disapointing. The only positive thing is the staff who were very friendly and helpful other than that would not recommend this hotel.

We arrived in Dublin from Los Angeles at around 2 pm, drove to Glendalough, then to Kilkenny for a ghost tour, and by the time we were done, it was 9pm. That meant all the restaurants were closed unfortunately and we had not eaten. We went back to the hotel hoping to eat and the kitchen had just closed. Thankfully, a very kind server named Pat saw our beleaguered state and got permission from his supervisor to get us some pizzas in the lobby. We have never been so grateful! Thank you Pat and Newpark Hotel staff! Highly recommended!!!!

We went for 2 night to Newpark hotel to celebrate our daughter birthday and we didn’t regret that we choose this hotel.
Hotel was very nice, clean and cozy. Customer service was very good.
Check in was very fast and our girls got a gift bag from reception. They were very happy. Room was very clean and cozy. Maybe if will be helpful to have extra shelfs on bathroom cause we had to keep our cosmetics on the floor.
Girls were enjoying playground outside, small zoo and Fairy trail and of course they enjoyed splashing in swimming pool.
Breakfasts were nice and service was very good. We are twice as well in Scott’s bar and we enjoyed. Definitely hotel is worth to stay when You coming to see beautiful Kilkenny!

Just returned from here having spent 2 nights during mid term. The hotel is lovely, quite spacious and lots happening for the kids. It was extremely busy but that's down to the mid term break. Glad we went down for breakfast before 9am each morning as long queues waiting after this. Restaurant was also fully booked the two nights so we didn't get to try that. We did eat in the bar and the food/service was great. Bathroom in classic rooms are a bit dated but the rooms themselves are nice and spacious. Staff throughout the hotel were very nice and always willing to help. Milk/cookies at night was a lovely treat for the kids & would be great to enjoy them in front of the lovely warm fire or anywhere in the hotel lobby which we never managed to due to the sheer volume of people. Would return again but not during the mid term.
