Stayed for one night with my mother to meet relatives. From talking to reservations staff before we arrived until we left all staff were exceptional and so helpful. We booked afternoon tea which was excellent (we couldn’t finish all the food) and we had plenty of privacy to chat. Apparently there was a slight error in the afternoon tea booking which we were hardly aware of until we were offered a complimentary drink.

We booked a classic sea view room which was great. It was very clean and the beds were really comfortable. Breakfast was really good. We are already planning to return.

On arrival reception was abrupt and unfriendly.
Drinks only served in the foyer and another communal area but not in a proper bar.
You could have drinks in Hardy’s bar (the only actual bar that was open) but only if ordering food.
Some of the serving staff were professional but were let down by their colleagues.
Some were incompetent and over familiar leading to a disjointed service.
We witnessed directionless servers wandering around with food orders on trays with no clue where the customers were located.
One staff member who appeared to be a manager of sorts was far too loud and annoying in his manner. His lack of attention to detail was exposed when he served drinks to the table next to us and they pointed out to him that there was ice in the glass but no spirits. This is the same staff member who chastised an underling in front of patrons in the dining room while waving a bill at her. The menu was adequate but not varied enough for a three-night stay.
Service in the dining room (which was actually a large function room) on our first night was flawless and we tipped the server.
Unfortunately, the next two nights service was frustrating.
One server felt it was appropriate to make light of the situation by making jokes about the delay.
Patrons at a neighbouring table expressed their frustration to us saying they were waiting over 35 mins for their starter, commenting “there is something wrong”.
I had many a great stay in this hotel previously so I assume it’s down to the lack of experienced staff.
Breakfast was good but scrambled eggs and mushrooms not hot enough.
The room was clean and comfortable and the air con an added bonus.
The bathroom was clean but the fittings (toilet roll holder, soap tray/ hand grip bar and towel bars) were coming away from the wall. The fittings were fixed with normal wall plugs instead of plugs designed for studded walls.
The separate shower was great.
The location is perfect for walking, cycling and sea swimming. The Dart is located across the road so it’s a quick trip into the heart of Dublin. The hotel is a lovely building with good gym, pool and spa.
On our departure both staff members on reception were very warm and friendly in total contrast to those on our arrival.

Myself and my husband have just returned from a 3 night stay. The staff were engaging, attentive and friendly. We had a sea view room which was worth it. The food was excellent with a wide choice of menu for breakfast and dinner. Great location with easy access to the pier, Dart Station and town centre.

This hotel is located overlooking the marina in the immediate vicinity of bars, shops and restaurants in Dunlaoighre and within a five minute walk to the Dart station. The exterior is beautiful, with a large lawn for children to run about out the front. The lobby is impressive, with shining chandeliers, warm marble and two well-running lifts.

Bedrooms are lovely and very clean, with possibly the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in in a hotel. We did not hear noise from other guests in nearby bedrooms. The bathroom was standard and could do with a lick of paint on architraves but had plenty fluffy towels, a deep bath and hot water.

The breakfast was very dear at 16.50 euros/head so we did not avail of it - there are plenty of good cafés nearby and we ate in the Savoury Café every morning. Lunch and dinner were also expensive with a limited menu geared toward gourmet style chipper food and this was reflected in many of the local restaurant menus also, e.g., we did not find any place that served a plain carvery so there's a big opening for someone to fill that gap. A more traditional menu at reasonable prices and a breakfast under 10 euros would keep guests spending within the hotel.

That being said, I can't wait to stay at this hotel again and have already recommended it to family. The staff are lovely, location excellent and you're guaranteed a cosy night's sleep.

This hotel was lovely and relaxing. Staff were very friendly and very helpful.
Hotel is a bit tired look would need some updating. The bed was so comfortable and room had air conditioning which was great as it was a hot weekend.
We used the spa which was so relaxing.
We had dinner in the restaurant which was just OK
nothing special. I had steak Which had to go back to kitchen twice, just not cooked right. Staff handling the issue really well and took off the supplement.
In resturaunt there are large black tapes on the floor. Dangerous as I like others tripped over them at breakfast. These need attention.
The main bar wasn't open for drinks only which was very confusing as its a bar?
Bar man on the night we were there was rude and very unhelpful. All the other staff were great.
Reception staff lovely, helpful and very professional. We would definitely return to this hotel and upgrade to Seaview. Views and location are fantastic. Lovely town, you won't be disappointed.
