I liked our stay in the Generator hostel in Dublin. The hostel was small but beautiful. It was removed 10 minutes from the Liffey river. In the hostel was a good atmosphere and the staff was also friendly. What I liked best was the sights. The sights were beautiful and traditional. It was different, perfect and interesting. The people were also very nice and friendly. The prices were not so high.

We went on a citytrip to Dublin and we stayed here. It was all we expected from a hostel, nothing more nothing less. Made some good friends. Good beers in the bar and a snoring dude in our room. Loved it !

as someone who has stayed in multiple generator hostels, i was fairly disappointed by my stay in dublin, mostly due to the staff. whilst the hostel itself is nicely decorated, clean and comfortable, upon arrival we were given our room and bed numbers to find someone else’s belongings already there and that the bed had been slept in. when we went back down to inform reception, we were told to move the belongings ourselves? the whole situation was very confusing and we had to ask multiple times to be given another room. the staff were less than helpful which really ruined the experience. overall though, the hostel is nice enough and in a pretty good location!

I felt ripped off after staying at the Generator Hostel - despite the glowing reviews, I found it to be overpriced (€90 to stay on a Friday night in a six-bed dorm), there were lots of hidden extras (no free luggage storage for instance), there were no toilets/showers on the same floor, and staff were unfriendly. Rooms were nice and clean however.
