Owner description: GUINNESS STOREHOUSE(R), Ireland's No. 1 visitor attraction is a "must see" on any visit to Dublin. Housed in an old fermentation plant in the heart of St James's Gate Brewery, the now seven-storey visitor experience tells the story of Ireland's iconic drink and beings to life the heritage of this world famous beer. Your journey begins standing at the bottom of the world's largest pint glass, which rises through the building. It is a dramatic story that begins over 250 years ago and ends in Gravity(R) Bar, Dublin's highest bar where you will receive a complimentary pint of GUINNESS(R) while enjoying spectacular views over Dublin.
Useful Information: Bathroom facilities, Baby buggy parking, Stairs / lift, Wheelchair access

This was the second time I had been on the tour but it was just as good as the first visit.
The tour is a self guided tour with videos telling the story of each part of the tour. I think they also do audio guides for different languages.
You slowly work you way up the building of which the centre is shaped in a huge Guinness pint glass. At the top you reach the bar and can have a pint of the black stuff with your voucher. You can also use your voucher to teach yourself how to pour the perfect pint of Guinness.

You will spend there few good hours but it's worth it ... and they serve guinness at the roof which not many museums do ;) So if it's raining outside, you can enjoy your indoor tour.

Went to the Guinness Storehouse today and did the self guided tour, I think the experience was somewhat impacted by the fact I had just done the Teeling Distillery Tour and had really enjoyed myself with a much smaller group. The Guinness Storehouse is huge and had crowds of people. It was hard to see all of the informational plaques because of all the people and I really craved the guidance of a guide and maybe that is something you get on the Connoisseur Tour. The free guinness at the end in the Gravity Bar was definitely appreciated after five floors of climbing.

I would recommend doing this because it is Guinness and you're in Ireland but don't expect the world and I'm sure you'll have a great time!

Thanks for this review. We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed your visit to Guinness Storehouse. However with regards crowds, at this time of year we welcome lots of visitors, and as a result we do try to keep a flow moving steadily through the building. Nonetheless we appreciate it can get very crowded. Thanks again for the feedback, we really do value it.

The whole experience was really good. Really easy to go there with just a bus.
Wheelchair accessible in all areas with rumbs and lifts. The whole block and building is great.
Visitors can see how this beer is created and to have a good view of its history.
In the upper floor is a really nice bar where you can have your free beer and enjoy the wonderful view of Dublin.
The store has almost everything related to Guinness.
A must see place of the city for sure.

The self-guided tour is so-so and more focused on advertising than history or information. Even on a Tues afternoon off of peak season it was very crowded and difficult to hear the tour guides.

The Beer Tasting portion of the tour was fun and interesting.

The Gravity Bar at the end made the whole experience worth it, amazing view and great place to enjoy your pint (included in the cost of admission).

If you go, I recommend skipping most of the tour and just going straight to the highlights. The tasting and gravity bar were best. The 'Guinness Academy' may also be worth it but we skipped it as the queue was huge.

If you're going, consider using the Dublin Pass and hitting up a few other places the same day.

Thank Erik C
