“2 Beatiful Courses - Outstanding Newly Opened Clubhouse, Pro Shop & Facilities - including catering.”

Belleisle Golf Course
Ranked #2 of 7 Outdoor Activities in Ayr
Attraction details
Reviewed 17 August 2017

The main Belleisle Course has often been described by experts as "the best municipal course in Scotland" Having played a very large number of these courses, I can confirm that Belleisle has at least to be in the top 3.

Both the main Belleisle course and the shorter Seafield course are always immaculately kept by the groundstaff. Both courses benefit from the recently opened and purpose built Clubhouse which has modern and comfortable facilities a well stocked Pro Shop and catering facilities offering anything from filed rolls - to a light meal.

Lots of free parking and reasonably priced day tickets. Option to phone and book a tee-off time.

Belle isle golf course is a parkland James Braid course. It is most enjoyable with beautiful mature trees. It is long but not very hilly. It was in fairly good condition.
It has a new modern clubhouse with cafe ,pro shop, and well appointed locker rooms.

Great value for money on a course designed by one of the great Scottish golfers, James Braid. New clubhouse with excellent facilities

Nice course but too many sand bunkers for my liking. The sand is like sugar so quite tricky to come out of. The par 3's are very tricky as peppered with bunkers featuring high on the stroke index.

Club house nice and modern and airy, staff very helpful and food was ok nothing special.

Don't have a lot of buggies all single more like a mini motorbike u need to book up front through council so don't turn up looking for one if u haven't already booked it.

I believe they have six but only one was working whilst we were there. Might be an idea to upgrade this facility as they are obviously well used and don't seem to be able to stand up to the demand.

Overall a nice day out the course is quite long certainly knew u had walked 18 holes.

Lovely setting and a bonus we had a lovely sunny day.

Enjoy!!

Belleisle golf course is my local course and I have played for 15+ years. It is a great course but does lack attention in some areas. There is never enough sand in the bunkers ever apart from that it is an excellent course for recreational golf as well as golf societies and outing.
