“Sand bunkers galore”

Nice course but too many sand bunkers for my liking. The sand is like sugar so quite tricky to come out of. The par 3's are very tricky as peppered with bunkers featuring high on the stroke index.

Club house nice and modern and airy, staff very helpful and food was ok nothing special.

Don't have a lot of buggies all single more like a mini motorbike u need to book up front through council so don't turn up looking for one if u haven't already booked it.

I believe they have six but only one was working whilst we were there. Might be an idea to upgrade this facility as they are obviously well used and don't seem to be able to stand up to the demand.

Overall a nice day out the course is quite long certainly knew u had walked 18 holes.

Lovely setting and a bonus we had a lovely sunny day.

Enjoy!!

Belleisle golf course is my local course and I have played for 15+ years. It is a great course but does lack attention in some areas. There is never enough sand in the bunkers ever apart from that it is an excellent course for recreational golf as well as golf societies and outing.

Good value golf course, in very good condition, hilly and a long slog in places, buggy recommended.

Clubhouse fare... average, non alcoholic cider very expensive at £3.30. if clubs want golfers to stay and eat please do not overcharge , decent alcohol free beers can be purchased from TESCO/ASDA etc. for 0.50 pence a bottle, leaving plenty of scope for profit without fleecing golfers

Testing golf course, which is long and punishing, if of the target. When combined with neighbouring Seafield golf course, it makes an ideal choice for a perfect golfing weekend. The quality of the greens and fairways were excellent. As it is a Muncipal golf course, the general up keep of the course desire much improvement as the bins on the tees were overflowing. Other niggle was the lack of ball washers and that of bells or chimes on 'blind holes'
The 'new club house' looked too clinical and sterile and lacked the charm of the '19th hole'

Popped in for a quick lunch soon after opening. What a difference!. Lovely bright, airy and spacious area to sit and enjoy some good plain fare. Sandwiches and cooked food such as breakfast are all very good value. The home made soup is excellent! well worth a visit.
