Visited today for afternoon tea, how very disappointing in every level .... rather for concentrating on gimics such as watering can for pouring cocktails , tin can to drink from and picnic table and plants pots to serve afternoon tea focus on service and quality ....
firstly we were kept waiting 40 minutes the waiter did apologise and advise problem with kitchen and offered a free drink .. when it eventually arrived the sandwiches which was just a ham and a cucumber were on cheap white bread , also a ryvita with smoked salmon ... the scone was obviously made earlier or in freezer and reheated hard dense and doughy in middle
I could not eat ... and no cakes ... but trifle
Which was really just cream , a jelly which was full of gelatine and strange taste and texture , a wobbly thing that you could
Not remove and a strange thin piece of sponge with again soft meringue which you could not lift and eat basically inedible ...
