Do not settle for b&b's on the way into Fort William. Try and book this place the day before. We did not book but luckily got in. It was a very small room but more than adequate. The building is lovely, clean and the staff and food fantastic. (apart from the grumpy young lady at the front desk) The restaurant downstairs seems to be open all day. We had a late lunch at about 3pm and staff were great. It was quiet at night too. Close to town centre for a stroll.

Room tip: Try and get a room near the stairs on each floor.

Stayed just for one night but got a great feel for the hotel.

Very easy to find in the centre of the town across the rod from the station. Limited parking out front.

Staff were excellent and very hospitable. Comfortable clean room with tea and coffee. Food in the adjacent restaurant was ok, but did not live up to expectations based on the overall quality of the hotel. Prices were fine but I wouldn't want to eat here every night. Nice lounge/bar area and breakfast was very good other than I was missed for tea or coffee so had to sort my own out....no big deal!

Would stay here again if the price was right.

This is an older hotel and inside needs some tlc with creaky floors and interesting decor, a bit faded however the rooms are clean, staff are very friendly and the breakfast was excellent, ample free parking at the front and rear and only yards from the Main Street

Lovely old hotel in central Fort William , stayed there for 3 nights this week . I was up in the Highlands for some hiking , with Ben Nevis just round the corner and Glencoe a 20 min drive away its an ideal place to stay. A bit dated and in need of a spruce up , it was nevertheless a lovely place to stay . Was very clean and comfortable and the staff very helpful , and a great Scottish breakfast to set you up ready to tackle the hills. Will be back next winter.

Comfortable, well appointed hotel in a central location.
All staff were helpful and friendly in particular the reception staff were helpful in printing documents when required.
On site Bistro Bar was convenient with a good choice.
