Description: At Zizzi we like to do things a little differently. We don’t do over-complicated recipes or 'scrimpy' portion sizes. We’re all about well-chosen ingredients, simply put together to make exceptional Italian food. Zizzi Royal Exchange Square is set in the heart of Glasgow's bustling city centre, just off Buchanan Street in the calm of Royal Exchange Square in Merchants City. The restaurant has taken over the rear entrance of the former Borders book shop and with it's feature neoclassical columns and grand entrance you can't miss it! With the restaurants stunning architecture and design features referencing the building's history; local Scottish artists have adorned it's walls with exclusive paintings nodding to the building and city's heritage. The restaurant boasts the first in house Zizzi bar where you will be able to choose from an extensive selection of wines, prosecco cocktails and Italian Beer. To complete your experience, you will be able to watch as your food is freshly prepared in the open plan kitchen with an authentic wood-stone oven as it's centre piece.

The service was quick and our waiter Andrea was lovely and so helpful. They have an incredible vegan menu, with vegan pasta and pizza!! Their strawberry sorbet is amazing I would highly recommend!

The place has a great atmosphere, beautiful building. Victoria was our server she was very nice and prompt with service.
I had the wild garlic fettuccini the garlic could have been stronger but over all it was very good.
The only thing I wouldn’t order again was smoked mozzarella bombetti for 6.25 pounds you get three pretty much flavorless golf ball sized fried balls . I would go back just wouldn’t order that.

Visited here for a nice Saturday lunch. Last time I was in here was approximately 1992, when it was The Royal Bank of Scotland when I used to have to deliver information into the bank every week, you could drive into Royal Exchange Square and run in and out hopefully missing the traffic wardens and getting a parking ticket. Still a lovely building inside and out. Had a nice lunch. Service was good. Staff excellent. Place was busy. Would visit again.

We have lunch in Zizzi in Royal Exchange Square most Sundays
The food is fresh, delicious and they make the best pizzas. We have tried other Italian restaurants in town but none compare to this one. The setting is attractive and unique as it has a high domed ceiling, ornate cornicing and was once an elegant bank.
The staff could not be more attentive and friendly, always willing to go the extra mile to ensure you have the best meal. As we have been going regularly for the last year I can say with accuracy that every meal we have here is of the highest quality. We have never been disappointed. We tend to have pizza as they make it so well but have also tried their pasta dishes and vegan meals and wouldn't hesitate to recommend these too. Glad to have such an outstanding restaurant local to us.
