We stayed here for two nights. Our room was beautifully decorated and stylish with a lovely large en-suite. The room overlooked the rear garden and was very relaxing and quiet. Breakfast was excellent with such a wide selection to choose from. Gary particularly enjoyed his porridge! Location was ideal for the city centre attractions and there were many places to eat and drink nearby. Jackie is such a lovely and attentive lady and makes you feel completely at home. We will certainly be back and recommending a visit to all of our friends.

We stayed here for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed both our accommodation and our time in Edinburgh. The Guest House is beautiful while still feeling homely and comfortable. Our room was lovely and included everything you could think of with some extra touches. Situated a short walk from the Playhouse, the location is ideal.
Breakfast was the best we have ever had. Porridge accompanied with whisky, honey or double cream, followed by a cooked breakfast or plenty of choice for the continental breakfast. We both enjoyed the cooked breakfast and although we didn't try the porridge this visit we will the next time.
Jackie, the owner, was a fabulous host who made us feel so welcome and at home. Nothing was too much trouble and she was genuinely interested in all her guests and how they spent their time while in Edinburgh, giving lots of recommendations on the various tourist attractions.
We would absolutely love to stay here again and have no hesitation in recommending Ben Cruachan Guest House!

Lovely room at back - spacious, quiet and beautifully decorated. Big bathroom with grand shower! Breakfast was amazing - don't miss the porridge with whisky! Good location with lots of restaurants, cafes and bars. Near theatre and a 10 minute walk to station and city centre. On bus route so easy to get around. Too short a break really. Jackie is good company and makes you so welcome. Definitely going back!

If you can't get the best porridge in Scotland ... where can you? Glad you enjoyed your stay and made the most of the restaurants and cafes around here... so much to do in Edinburgh and there is never enough time !! Lovely to meet you both and look forward to your return. Best wishes, Jackie x x

We arrived on wednesday 4th April to horrendous weather, I had previously emailed Jackie our arrival time, we expected to leave our case and check in later, but our room was ready on arrival, which was a bonus. We had room 2 on the ground floor at the rear of the building overlooking the garden. The room was tastefully decorated with lots of extra touches. The bed was comfortable and we both slept well. Breakfast was served in the dining room and ordered from a menu the day before, there is lots of choice. We both chose the Scottish cooked breakfast, tasty and well presented. Jackie is a great host we will stay at Ben Cruachan again on our next visit to Edinburgh.

Our car from parking it up across the road from the guest house did not move until it was time for us to leave after having two days in Edinburgh . Jackie the owner of the guest house gave us information on where to eat ,about the history and places to visit all in walking distance.
The guest house its self was homely and spotless clean, breakfast was outstanding and set us up for the day. we will definitely return .

Room Tip: we stayed in room 3 it was quite and the bathroom was excellent
