We got married at the Village Hotel Cheadle last year, and as part of our package, we had a two night stay (with a meal first night) at another hotel on our wedding anniversary, so we decided to stay here. At the time of organising, there was a deal for £30 a room, so opted to stay another night. Check-in was easy and although was an automated system, there was someone to help everyone, which was handy. When we got to the room, I can't lie that I was a little disappointed with the size. We made sure we had an Upper Deck room, but in reality, all that is is a standard room with a tassimo machine plonked in the corner. There's no where near enough space to put your clothes if you're staying for more than one night, as as we were staying for three, we had stuff everywhere.
Some problems I did find in the room - not a plug socket on each side of bed, which meant I had to have my phone charging at the other side of the room.
Tassimo machine - can see why you'd think it would be a good idea, but had I actually remembered to bring my peppermint tea, I couldn't have made it anyway with that machine. I'd be happier with a kettle and a good selection of tea bags (plus I've had one of these machines, they're notoriously hard to clean).
I hate having the toiletries in re-fillable pump bottles. I'd rather have a small bottle for myself if you're providing them
I will say though, the bed was very comfy and the pillows were too. Nice big TV once we figured out how to use it.
We had breakfast two of the days we stayed. On the first morning, there was a big queue and appeared only two staff working. This meant we were never offered tea or coffee and couldn't get the attention of anyone to get it, and there were no glasses for juice, even after we asked. I had some porridge, which was a bit like gloop.
Second day was much better and a little more of what I expected they wanted to provide.

The meal we had on the first night as part of our stay was again disappointing. There was no mention of this being from a very limited menu until we sat down. Would have been much happier to have a choice of their main menu and a spend limit. The girl serving us in the restaurant was lovely and provided great service.

Overall - it was ok, could have been better. Definitely not worth full price. Would go again on a deal.

Nice modern hotel. Very comdortable room and good shower. Meal at function nice with complete table being served together. Let down by wait for breakfast with area not being cleared or a second coffee.
