“Bijou boutique hotel meets perfect Des Res”
Reviewed 22 October 2014 for a stay in October 2014

Why stay in a hotel when you can stay here, it's like staying in a large elegant hotel suite with all the additional comforts from home.
There isn't anything the owners haven't thought of, it's difficult to convey how elegant and stylish this place really is, it strikes just the right balance between hotel and home from home.
It's a couple of streets back from the main drag, around 10 minutes walk from Rose Street, Princes Street, Royal Mile & perfectly situated to take in all the wonderful things that Edinburgh has to offer.
There are lots of independent restaurants, bars & deli's in the surrounding streets if you want to get away from the crowds. We took a gentle stroll in the opposite direction each night & found some lovely stylish places to eat and drink.
The owners were extremely helpful with travel plans, parking & very flexible with access.
We have already recommended it and we hope we are lucky enough to return ourselves!!

Thank you so much for leaving feedback. It is greatly appreciated, and we are really delighted you had a great time. Our aim is for our guests to relax and feel at home from the moment they arrive and we work hard to ensure everyone receives a warm welcome. We were pleased to hear that you headed to Stockbridge … an area which has a village atmosphere, characterised by the many delis, tea houses, small restaurants, cafes, and pubs … a lovely Sunday market with a great bohemian vibe! Thank you for recommending 28A Cumberland Street to others! We would love to be able to welcome you back again in future!

“An Exceptional 35th Anniversary Holiday”
Reviewed 4 October 2014 for a stay in September 2014

We arrived earlier than usual on a cold drizzly Edinburgh day. Stuart and Wendy made special efforts to arrange our early entrance into the apartment on Cumberland. Their warm and cozy holiday flat greeted us with a wee dram of whisky, a lovely assortment of sweets and a special bottle of celebratory prosecco! The perfect start to the Scottish portion of our anniversary trip! The apartment at 28A Cumberland was exceptionally clean. We both appreciated the "classic meets Scottish funk" interior. Well done! Recently renovated, this apartment offers new functional features in both the kitchen and bathroom that made us feel at home. It's close proximity to The Royal Mile, made it convenient to all the sights. Thank you Wendy and Stuart for all of your genuine care and concern! We will highly recommend your apartment, and if given the opportunity, you can count on our return visit! - BTW, the sun did come out for most of our visit! :)

We are delighted that you enjoyed your Anniversary celebration with us! Thank you so much for these lovely comments. You told us at booking that you are an interior designer and your husband a foodie expert … so we are especially pleased that you liked the apartment, and found the location perfect. We hope you take some wonderful memories of your celebratory holiday back with you to the USA. We obviously would be delighted to welcome you or your friends in future! S&W x

“wonderful apartment”
Reviewed 16 September 2014 for a stay in September 2014

We loved this apartment and its warm welcoming ambience its on a quiet street 15mins walk from Princes Street . The apartment is just like the pictures , beautiful stylish with all you need for a wonderful holiday.
We had hectic days out followed by cosy nights in with a bottle of wine and the fire aglow we felt so at home and comfortable it was difficult to leave at the end of our week.
We have already made plans to return. Thank you Stuart and Wendy .

“Georgeous!”
Reviewed 7 September 2014 for a stay in September 2014

It felt like home at the apartment. Stuart was very helpful throughout. I was accompanying an elderly couple to Edinburgh and Stuart was very kind to allow us to checkin from earlier. The bubbly and sweet left for us were icing on the cake. Definitely will back to the flat

“Stunning bit of luxury in the heart of Edinburgh”
Reviewed 14 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Beautiful flat and ideally placed just a short walk from Princes Street and the Royal Mile! We stayed during August for the festival and were thrilled by the comfortable and luxurious accommodation and little touches when we arrived, including a lovely bottle of Fizz! Definitely beats the usual hostel and at not that different a cost either; fantastic value for money!

The flat is a great size, we easily fit three of us in to share and there was everything you needed to feel at home. Can not recommend this enough and will definitely be keen to return!!
